Department Activities for the year 2022-2023
July 4th 2022… Sri Alluri Seetharamaraju; who shook the British Empire in our
India’s freedom struggle is a
revolutionary hero, Entire Telugu region should be proud of him said , Chief guest, ubhaya Godavari District
teachers MLC Sri Sk. Sabjee. He started that it is our responsibility to fight people’s problems and exploitation and
also for the development of our country.
125th Jayanthi Celebrations of Sri Alluri Seetharamaraju were celebrated by the Department of Telugu and Hindi, at CH.S.D.St.Theresa’s College
for Women(A), Eluru on 4th
, July,2022 in association with AVR Vignana kendram, Eluru. On this occasion, a special edition containing the life history of Sri
Alluri Seetharamaraju was released. An elocution Competition was conducted and prizes were distributed byPrincipal
Dr. Mercy & MLC Mr. Sk. Sabjee,
AVR Vignan Kendra Secretary Shri Gudapati Venkata
Narasimha Rao. Dr.Sr.Mercy Pricipal,
Sr.Rajitha,Vice-principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, NSS, P.O’s Youth Red
cross, Red Ribbon club and students were participated.

CSP
Project Viva: CSP Project Viva-voce examination was conducted on
5.7.2022 to the I year students.
3.
Orientation Programme 1st Aug 2022.
Telugu and Hindi Departments of Ch.S.D.St.Theresa’s College for Women(A) , under the able guidance of Pricipal Dr.Sr.Mercy organized Orientataion Programme for first year students and parents on 1st Aug ,2022. Principal Dr. Sr. Mercy , explained about State of art, Infrastructure, extra- curricular activities. She informed about the rules and moral Values of the College and suggested the students to follow the culture of the college. Vice principal Sr.Rajitha, explained the importance of the attendance, and regulation system followed in the college. She requested the parents to be vigilant in students’ academics and approach. Controller of examinations, Sr.Suseela explained about the College Autonomy System, and conducting of Examinations. After that various Heads of the Departments, explained about NSS,NCC, Sports& Games, various types of Scholarships available in , as well as information and how to apply for them.

Aajadi ka Amruth Mahothsav Maarathaan: As a part of the Celebrations of Aajadi ka Amruth Mahothsav, on 12th August 2022, Ch.S.D.St.Theresa’s College for women (A), Under the Leadership of the Principal Dr.S.Mercy , Conducted a Maarathan In Eluru town.The members of the Language department actively participated in the programme and showed their patriotism.
5. Telugu Language Day….Depaartment
of Telugu and Hindi , celebrated Telugu Language Day on 29-08-2022. Dr. Ch.V. Mahalakshmi introduced the
importance of Telugu language and
wished the gathering on this special day. College Principal Dr. Sister. P.
Mercy said that Management will provide sufficient support
for language development by giving priority to
regional languages. College Vice Principal Sister. P. Rajitha Explained
the importance of Telugu language,
she informed that all the Telugu
students who are in the educational stage should
definitely master the Telugu language and have clarity.Later, Mrs. B. Mariamma, Lecturer in Telugu, has spoken about Gidugu Ramamurthy Pantulu's
uniqueness and his services to Telugu
Language.. This program is conducted by the management of the college and the Telugu and Hindi department members

6. Youth Parliament.30.8.2022
A model student parliament was held at the local St.
Teresa's Women's Autonomous Degree College.
The program started with the inaugural address by Dr. Sister Mercy, Principal
of the College. She informed that
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started this program with the intention of extending democratic
aspirations to these small villages as well. On the occasion, Principal Dr. Sister Mercy called upon
the students to reflect their speech as public voice. Today's students can be tomorrow's public representatives and
wished them to grow up to be true public
representatives.
College Vice Principal Sister Rajitha informed that this
program was organized in about eight thousand
educational institutions and more than four lakh students participated in it.
The program was conducted by Youth
Parliament organizers Sister Rajitha, Dr. Jyothi Pal, Dr. Mahalakshmi, Mrs. Vyshnavi and Miss. Sailaja.

Hindi Day Celebrations: Hindi Day was celebrated on 14 th September by the Department of Hindi and Telugu . Dr. Mrs.
Ch. Mahalakshmi, HoD of Hindi and Telugu Department
said that Hindi is considered as on
of the most important and major languages in
India. The celebration of Hindi Day was started
after the Independence of India. Students
of II B.Sc, BZC group explained the History of Hindi day,
Importance of Hindi, facts about Hindi
Language through Power Point Presentation. Student from II B.A HEP presented a melodious
song on National Language
Hindi.

National Innovation Day :. Innovation Day celebrated on the Birth Anniversary of Honorable
Late President Dr.A.P.J.
Kalam. To Commemorate the Birth
Anniversary of our late president ..Dr.
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam,
Department of Telugu
and Hindi organized
―Innovation Day‖ on Oct,19..2022.
Dr. Kalam was not only a renowned Scientist but a great
human being who always motivated youngsters
with his humble teachings and inspiring words.
―Significant Contribution of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in Nation Building‖ were discussed and deliberated upon by Students along with faculty members. Everyone
saluted Dr. Kalam’s humbleness,
creativity, passion, and perseverance
for perfection and inspires their
heart, mind, and soul to fight it out for their dreams.
Regional Co. Ordinator, Yoga Teacher at Datta Kriya Yoga
International Centre based in Karnataka.
He gave hands—on practice to nearly 400 students for Sankalpa Siddhi, calm mind, increase concentration and intelligence.
Department of Hindi and Telugu participated in Women’s day Celebrations on 9 th March 2023 in association with The Centre for
women studies. As a part of this programme department of Telugu and Hindi conducted an online quiz programme
for the students on the topic ― Women empowerment‖. Nearly 300 students
actively participated and received the certificates for this special programme.

ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS Concudcted by the department of Economics, SVKP and
Dr.KS.Raju college of Science and Arts Penugonda on 4th June 2022.

College, Vijayawada, on 24th June 2022.

were prepared and exchanged between the Departments of Telugu and Hindi of Ch.S.D.St.Theresa’s College
for women(A), with the departments of Telugu and Hindi of KBN
College , Vijayawada.

Professor in Hindi, attended a five-day training cum- workshop on Testing, Evaluation and Question item writing in
Hindi, conducted by National Testing
Service_ India, held at Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore (Online
mode) from 27th June to
1st July 2022.

Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pedavegi, from 18.08.2022 to 20.08.2022 as Subject Expert of the Appointment Committee for conduct
Virtual Interviews to the candidates of A.P,T.S, Karnataka, Kerala States and UT of
Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman Islands for appointment of PGT (Hindi ) on Cssontract Basis in Navodaya
Vidyalaya Samithi, Hyderabad
Region.
10. Dr.Ch.V.Mahalakshmi Along with Dr.Mrs.A.NirmalaJyothsna, HOD, Physics and Electronics, and Dr.Mrs. R.India,
HOD acted as Judge for Miss Theresa 2022 Competition as a part of Freshers
Day celebrationson 30.8.2022.

Department of Telugu and Hindi conducted an exhibition on Telugu and Hindi Literatures and the History of Both the
Languages to create awareness about the Language and Literature to the
students in the month of Sep.2022.

4th February 2023, BOS Meeting was conducted for the academic Year
