Introduction

Telugu

Telugu department is one of the oldest departments of the institution which was started  in 1953.Telugu the language of the land  is as fertile as the lush green West Godavari District .From the time of its inception the department has been playing a very important role in keeping up the culture traditions of land.


The department has aimed at teaching values, traditions, creative skills through textual material and innovative co-curricular activities. While the culture week  celebrations uphold  the rich folklore, traditional customs, ritual and heritage  of AP and patriotic poets. Production of stage Craft such as “Golla suddhulu”, “Veedhi natakalu” , “Harikadhalu” , “Burrakathalu”, “Ashtavadhanam”  have been a regular  art of the department activities. The Department also produced innovative game cards on Telugu grammar  and song Cassettes on Folksongs, Exhibition of Telugu literary forms, Kavidarpanam.



 Hindi 

 Department of Hindi is one of the most vibrant, resourceful and innovative departments of the college. Besides teaching learning activities  of Hindi as   second language, the department extends its services to curricular, co curricular, extracurricular and extension activities of the institution. The department was established in 1962.  It was headed by eminent educationist like Mrs. Bhanumathi(1962 – 1964), Mrs. Renukarao  (1964-1983), Mrs. Sarala Mishra (1984 - 1988) and  from 1989 it is headed by Mrs. Ume Salma.
