Department of Telugu and Hindi Annual Report for the Year 2020-2021

The college reopened for the academic year 2020-21on 20th August 2020 for staff, on 2nd Nov 2020 for II- and III-year students and on 1st Dec 2021 for the I year students.

Online Classes – Telugu and Hindi department conducted online classes to III, II & I years regularly through ZOOM, WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Google forms.

Various activities taken up by the Dept of Telugu and Hindi During the Academic Year 2020- 2021 were as follows:

1.      Student Induction Programme,Student Induction Programme was conducted On 4^th October 2020, for the newly admitted students in UG and PG I year. Speaking on the occation principal Dr.Sr. Marietta D‘Mello said St.Theresa‘s college trains students for overall development of students , an eagle soars high, students are taught soar high in life in the college. Mrs. Ume salma , HOD, Dept of Telugu & Hindi, gave a talk to the freshers about their Bright future. A counselling session was scheduled by her for the freshers. The programme on the Whole helped the students to get acquinted to the college activities and functions of various cells and committees

 

4.The management , Staff and Students of Ch.S.D.St.Theresa‘s College for women(A), celebrated SankranthiSambaraalu in the college premises on 11^th and 12^th Jan 2020.The students dressed in their traditional best decorated the premises with Rangoli and took part in various activities. The entire college wore a colorful look with  Rangolies.  Students  decorated  the  Rangolies  by  keeping  ―Gobemmas‖  at  the centre of Rangolies.The initiative was appreciated by Dr.Sr.MariettaD‗Mello, Principal of the college and in herSankranthi wishes message she addressed the students, to fly high on their Dreams and aspirations like a kite, but stay grounded on your values like the string that holds the kite.

 

 

2.      Telugu Wiki Club was Inaugurated by the Department of Telugu and Hindi of Ch.S.D.ST.Theresa‘s College for women(A) in Joint collaboration with IIIT, Hyderabad on 1^st February 2021. Mrs. Ume Salma ,HOD of Telugu and Hindi Department coordinated the function.

 

3.      On 17.2.2021, A work shop was organised by Mr.Krupal Kashyap , Project Councellor, Telugu Wiki Club, from IIIT, Hyderabad. He explained the steps to add articles and Photos through google in Telugu Wikipedia to the faculty and students in detail. The Question Answer Session was also conducted by him to clarify the quarries of the students.

4.      On 19^th Feb 2021, College Celebrated Annual Day. Mrs. Ume Salma was the in charge of Cultural Programmes. In her guidance Students from all programmes. Proficiency Prizes were given to the students. T. Mary Papa of Final Year THP bagged Proficiency award.

5.      Faculty from Telugu and Hindi Depts attended training Programme   conductedby Wiki club IIIT from 1.3.2021.

6.      From the month of March,2021 Covid Rules were Practiced by the Dept of Telugu and Hindi along with other faculty.

7.      On line classes were continued to the III year students by the faculty.

8.      From 1.4.2021 onwards I year UG students attended the offline classes and Online Classes were conducted to II year U G students.

9.      On 12^thSeptember , 2020 Dr.Ch.V.Mahalakshmi, attended a meeting at Collector Office regarding Sachivalayam Examinations as centre coordinator and she successfully conducted the examinations at Ch.S.D.St.Theresa‘s Girls High School.

 

 

 

10.  Dr.Mrs. Ch.V.Mahalakshmi, Associate Professor in Hindi, attended Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya, Veleru, Krishna Dist from 8.10.2020 to 16.10.2020 as Subject Expert, to conduct virtual Interviews for selection of trained Graduate teachers in Hindi n contact basis, as per the directions of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi, Hyderabad.
